Historians make history – come celebrate our 50th Anniversary Celebration
Keynote Speakers: Karl Ludvigsen
For the 50th anniversary of the SAH our special guest speaker at the Gala Awards Banquet on Friday, October 11th will be Karl Ludvigsen (author, historian, and recipient of the Friend of Automotive History award and multiple Nicolas-Joseph Cugnot awards). Karl Ludvigsen is best known for his work over 50 years as a journalist, author and historian. Ludvigsen began his automotive writing and editing for MIT’s Tech Engineering News in 1953. He has served as technical editor of both Auto Age and Sports Cars Illustrated, east coast editor of Motor Trend and editor of Car and Driver. He has also written for Automobile Quarterly, The Automobile as well as many other print and internet publications. Karl joined the Society of Automotive Historians in 1970 as member number 92, and he has won the Nicolas-Joseph Cugnot Award multiple t mes, and the society’s highest award: Friend of Automotive History.
The SAH was founded on October 11, 1969 in Hershey (leftto right): William S. Jackson, Henry Austi n Clark, Jr., John M. Peckham, Bruce Baldwin Mohs, Herman L. Smith, G. Marshall Naul, Charles W. Bishop, Guy P. Seeley, Jr., Grace R. Brigham, Richard B. Brigham, and Glenn R. Baechler.

rest, rapport and light refreshment.

Directions: From the flea market area, take Hersheypark Drive east to Laudermilch Road. Turn right, over the railroad
overpass, left at next stop sign. Country Club is the first driveway on the right. The dining room is in the main building.
