The Society of Automotive Historians

How to begin a new Chapter or Interest Group

Chapters consist of SAH members in a common geographic area, or geographically dispersed SAH members with a common interest in a particular aspect of automotive history.  Chapters have officers and bylaws.

Interest Groups function informally without a governance structure.  Interest Groups also consist of SAH members in a common geographic area, or geographically dispersed SAH members with a common interest in a particular aspect of automotive history.

By their nature, Chapters and Interest Groups further the purposes of the Society by fostering communication and camaraderie among members, and are encouraged to include interested non-SAH members.   Chapter and Interest Group activity can be enhanced when members volunteer their collective expertise to automotive history-related events, libraries, archives, museums, educational institutions, etc., when and where opportunities occur.
