Another of the periodic automotive and motorsport history Chin-Wags took place via Zoom on Sunday, January 25 with nineteen participants, which included ten in the US, one in Canada, five in the UK, one in Italy, one in Australia, and one in New Zealand. Discussed in varying detail during the ninety-minute free-wheeling session was a Ferrari auction, racing cars as icons, Eleanor Valasco Thornton, the pre-Silver Ghost Rolls-Royce, what to do with magazine collections, BMC Farina cars, Holden vs. Ford in Australia, a Hungarian Count who bought his first Mercedes in 1901, an Italian number plate archive, the US National Archive, the HathiTrust, the British Motor Museum, and the National Motor Museum.

All are welcome to take part in these informal remote get-togethers. If you’d like to join in on the next Chin-Wag coming in March, contact Bob Barr. (bb)
