The 2025 SAH Hershey Orange Field tent was 20’ x 20’ which was two-thirds the size of previous years. It worked fine and a slightly smaller tent could be considered for next year. Monday and Tuesday set up was handled by Kirk Gibson, Bob Barr, Bob Elton and Kit Foster. Sufficient volunteers stepped forward to staff the tent Tuesday through Thursday with four two-hour shifts per day.

The Authors Book Signing at the AACA Library Yard Sale New Books tent was down to three authors and two publishers this year, three of which can’t return next year. The event has probably run its course, and we may hear that the AACA Library will recalibrate the staging of the 2026 Library Yard Sale.

The SAH Orange Field tent has reverted to its original use of decades ago – solely a hospitality tent. Overall Hershey traffic continues to incrementally decrease and how much longer the SAH should carry the monetary expense and the volunteer time expended to maintain a presence at Hershey needs to be further discussed; the same volunteers handle the load each year. (BB)
