The Ninth Annual Michael R. Argetsinger Symposium on International Motor Racing History, held by the International Motor Racing Research Center (IMRRC) in partnership with the SAH and Gran Touring Motorsports (GTM), took place at the Harbor Hotel in downtown Watkins Glen on Friday November 21st and Saturday November 22nd, 2025. The Harbor Hotel proved to be a fine venue for the symposium due to the conveniences, facilities, and services provided. The Watkins Glen Area Chamber of Commerce treated everyone to an Open Reception on Friday evening, and Tom Schmeh’s “Reel Wheel Film Festival” took place Thursday and Friday evenings at the Glen Theater.
Tributes were made to Duke Argetsinger, the lead administrator and backbone of the Argetsinger Symposium for the past several years. Duke is retiring from the IMRRC this month.

Six one-hour presentations were made each day by a total of 14 speakers. As before, the live streaming and associated equipment and expertise was provided by SAH member Eric Monterastelli of GTM. Keynoter Mark Raffauf, IMSA Senior Director of Competition, was a walking encyclopedia of motorsport history. The 55 to 60 people in attendance each day were complemented by the live-stream audience, and post-event views of the presentations are ongoing. Crew Chief Eric has posted the presentations, as YouTube recordings, on the Argetsinger Symposium page of the IMRRC website. (BB).
