Happy 2026! The SAH Board of Directors hopes you had a safe and enjoyable holiday.

The 2025 Annual General Meeting of the Society of Automotive Historians took place via Zoom on December 9. It was great to see so many members in attendance. I apologize for the lateness in the meeting notice. In the future announcements will be sent out at least 10 days prior as specified in the SAH by-laws. For those who were unable to attend, a video recording of the meeting is available here. Minutes of all SAH Board Meetings can be found here.

The new board of directors is ready to tackle the new year. We are happy to report that the next issue of the SAH Journal will be hitting your mail boxes [physical and digital] this month. There are still some kinks to work out with the Automotive History Review but we hope to provide an update on it soon.

In this newsletter you will find information regarding the 2026 SAH Awards. Nominations for all but the Scharchburg Student Paper Award are due April 15, 2026. The annual banquet will once more be held at the fabulous Durant-Dort Factory One in Flint, Michigan [thank you Kevin Kirbitz] on Saturday, September 19, 2026. A weekend of car-related activities is planned.

Thanks to all who have contributed to this issue. Remember that everyone is welcome to submit event announcements or reports, news items of interest, reviews of museums or exhibitions, as well as personal achievements such as a new book, published article, or award. Just send your news to Chris Lezotte or Helen Hutchings by January 25 for the February edition.

Thanks to Helen Hutchings, Pal Negyesi, John Mohr, and Bob Barr for their contributions to this issue.
