SAH members based in the US may now borrow from the Turnquist Library at America’s Packard Museum by mail.
America’s Packard Museum in Dayton, Ohio, houses the Turnquist Library, a dedicated reading room with more than 3,500 automotive publications. More titles are added regularly. The library includes a large collection of Packard owner manuals, parts lists, service and training bulletins and manuals, and other company publications.
SAH members may find complete borrowing information and a link to register to borrow books here. You may search the library using the search box at the top of that page, or directly through Librarycat.org here.
Books may be borrowed one at a time for 30 days and renewed once. Borrowers must be US-based, and pay only for USPS book-rate shipping both ways.
The staff of Automobile Quarterly magazine (published from 1962-2012) compiled most of the books in the library, and in 2019 they were donated to America’s Packard Museum. The library is made possible by a generous gift from The Robert and Sonia Turnquist Marital Trust, and is named in honor of these two Packard historians and friends of the Museum.
