Authors, academic motorsport scholars, enthusiast historians, and students are invited to submit proposals of 200 words or less, on topics relevant to international motorsport history of all eras, for live presentation at Watkins Glen on November 12 or 13. Possible subject categories include, but are not limited to, the history, evolution, and development of race cars and motorsport technology; personalities, competition events and series; motorsport geography, oral history and historiography; cultural, gender, media, and political histories of motorsport; and archives, museums and heritage preservation.
Presentation proposals – submitted in either Word or PDF documents – should preview the content of the presentation and may include representative graphic images. Submissions will be acknowledged on receipt. All images used in a presentation must be properly credited. Presentation time slots are 45 minutes each, including Q&A time, for in-person delivery on-site at the Harbor Hotel in Watkins Glen. Each presentation will be recorded live during the symposium and then posted as a YouTube video, post-event, in the IMRRC online archives.
