John J. O’Leary had the opportunity to present his research on Mercedes-Benz 540K ‘AKTION P’ (chassis # 408377) from WWII at the American Historical Association Conference in Chicago, IL.
John’s family has a unique connection to the AKTION P. His father-in-law, Richard Reuter, was part of a trio of Connecticut residents that acquired the AKTION P in Tallinn, Estonia, from Hindrek Kukk in exchange for an education in the United States for his daughter back in the 1990s.
