Tommy Benz, based in the Washington DC area, studied history as an undergrad. He has been fascinated by cars from an early age, and has done quite a bit of reading on the history of different auto companies. Lately Tommy has been doing a “deep dive” on the history of General Motors and has really enjoyed it. He got connected to a former General Motors VP of engineering who has been making suggestions on books; Tommy is currently working his way through them.

A resident of Canadaigua, New York, Alana Roberts is a graduate of Mount Holyoke College and the University at Buffalo School of Law. She is a novice autocross competitor and racing history enthusiast with a passion for classic British cars along with her husband Trevor. Among their collection are a first year production 1959 Austin Mini, a 1952 MG TD, a 1966 Triumph TR4A, and a 1958 Austin Healey Bugeye Sprite.
Through their connections to the classic mini world, Alana and Trevor became custodians of David Crowther’s collection of race results, programs, and various racing ephemera. While cataloging the collection to donate it to the IMRRC, Alana’s passion for racing history merged with her love of academia and she had the honor to present the collection and her experience cataloging it at the 2024 Michael Argetsinger Symposium at Watkins Glen.

Atlanta, Georgia resident Tom Vadnais is a life-long car guy and tire engineer. He has visited more than 30 car museums around the country at least once.
