Then the something old is quite special on several levels. It concerns a book written by a longtime and much missed SAH member named Jim Crank (SAH #1153). Engineer by trade, Crank had been captivated by all things Doble—as in steam car—and more. As fellow steam documentarian /historian Kit Foster (SAH 889H) had written in our own SAH Journal #308, Crank’s book on The Doble Steam Car is about more than just the steam car as it includes Doble-family history.
